Favela

We passed by a favela or a shanty town in Brazil. I was really looking forward to see one of these shanties if they really look exactly like in the movie City of God (2002). The bus was picking up speed and so I have to contend myself with these shots.☺ The last photo is one of the many favela paintings sold. I brought one, a little smaller for 15$ in a flea market. Not bad.

Most of the people who lived in a favela are poor people and just like in the movies,  you enter in these places without security. Our guide said that that there are many tourists who went inside this favelas too. Most of them are backpackers but if you still want to enjoy a good, peaceful vacation…just try hitting the beach and not in these places.☺

The Countryside.☺ (San Remigio, Cebu)

Philippine Mining Service Corporation’s Dolomite mine in Alcoy.

I never thought that I could visit this natural wonder in Argentina… it was so surreal. I wasn’t that excited when they told me I’d be sent to South America for a trade mission coverage but when I saw the itinerary, I was ecstatic. What I saw was beyond words.
